ToggleVipassana meditation was started by late guruji sri Satyanarayana Goenka ji in india approx 1960. They had learned Vipassana from his guru late sri saiyaji uba khin from srilanka (Berma). Our Guruji Goenkaji got a serious disease of migraine. So he had consult many more doctor across the country. but he haven`t cure and he have to taken regularly Morphia Injection.
And doctor had clearly understand him this this injection is dangerous for your health. Then someone had advised to goenkaji to contact with sri uba khin ji. then he had started practicing of vipassana with Guruji Uba Khin and after sometime his disease will disappear.
Then guruji ubakhin had said to guruji goenkaji that Vipassana meditation is made by indian origin and in a very crucial period in Verma Indian government had given lots of benifit to sri Lanka government.
So its time that you should return the technique of this meditation to indian public and compensate indian debt on Sri Lanka government, because indian people are forget this technique, So that he had came in india and spread this technique.
Last important thing is that there are also two types of Buddism. One is controlled by sri Dalai Lama in which process is idol worship But in Vipassana Meditation here idol worship is not allowed. Both are called Buddhism.
